MELLOTT — Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Gardner, 85, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Organ music was furnished by Mrs. Lowell Linville. She also accompanied George Kirk who sang "Home of the Soul" and "God Understands." Loren Hetrick, minister of the New Antioch Christian Church, in Mellott, of which Mrs. Gardner was a member, had charge of the funeral services. Pallbearers were Harold Shultz, Don Carpenter, Homer Shade, Ferman, and Reed Rice and Arthur Hazelgrove. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Mrs. Gardner died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville, Saturday night, Jan. 19, after a lingering illness. --typed by Walt W
